However, big scale also means that it is the financiers who are in control, rather than fitness specialists. An expert trainer will get far better results armed with just a mat, bench, some free weights and a heart-rate monitor than an inexperienced or poorly trained instructor in a gym containing £3 million of the latest equipment!
